Very well made and it used almost every day in my tool kit
Truth Is all my co-workers hate It, but after using It, once or twice they all agree, that It is a very good addition to my ready tools. In my line of work, we all carry an EDC kit for the everyday quick stuff, and a carload of tools for the big jobs. We would like to keep our EDC/ready tools as light as possible without having to make multiple trips out to the car for more tools, and this is great for that, small, light but still have torque when needed.

Super impressed. High quality driver
Looked at Wiha drivers and the popular iFixit driver sets. Decided on this made in Taiwan mini/palm 1/4 hex bit driver.Pros- Nicely machined. Smooth rotation even tho it doesn't rely on a bearing for the cap. Durable stainless steel material/anodized aluminum. Compact with aggressive knurled body. VERY strong neodymium magnet. Tool has a nice heft to it.
Came in a really cool plastic storage tube. See picCons- Price may be more than similar plastic or aluminum drivers (IMO-the quality justifies the higher price). Not really a negative but currently there is no driver option in the
4mm micro bit size which is more popular for DYI-ers fixing or modifying electronic devices. There are way more options in 4mm for the non standard, specialized bits. Although
this is easily remedied with a 1/4 to 4mm adapter.

The outcome of a precision driver and ratching driver mating
In size and functionality this is a precision driver with a 1/4" bit (instead of some precision drivers have 4mm). Pop open the "lollipop" though, and you can torque a fastener closed (or open) more powerfully than a full size screwdriver, about as powerfully as a mini-ratchet.This driver doesn't have ratcheting functionality, but ratcheting functionality really only works the last turn of a fastener when there is enough friction to engage the ratchets. Otherwise you need one hand on the barrel on the back turn to engage the ratchet teeth, and you don't always have 2 hands to drive a fastener. On this driver you can just put your palm up against the "lollipop" and spin the shaft frictionless-ly to drive the fastener down all the way, and then you only really need to torque the last 1/2 - 1 turn with the extended lollipop, where if it had a ratchet that would be super slick but that last bit is easy enough to do without the ratchet. This isn't a driver to drive long screws into material (e.g - wood screws, but who does that manually anyway?) - its for machine screws or small bolts with smooth threads, even if
they need to be torqued a decent amount. Its perfect for 8020, electrical, etc.Honestly - its expensive as hell, but top quality and amazingly satisfying to use. Comes with a different bit than I have pictured.

Gorgeous Design - A Silent Ratcheting Driver with Extra Torque Up Its Sleeve
I just received the aluminum version, and I am In love. First, It only weighs 42g without the included bit. Second, it works like an In-line ratchet. Everything stays in place and you rotate your grip either direction with the free spinning ball on the end. With normal ratchets, this hand rotation makes a clicking noise. Here, it is silent. To get a tough screw started, or to torque down a screw at the end, the ball pops out allowing you extra leverage with an L handle. This Is a feature most in-line ratcheting screwdrivers lack.
For reference. I tested the Lollipop with the Steinwhale Stubby 10 in 1 bit klt/extender. If for some reason you need even more leverage, plug the 711L Hex End ratchet into the Lollipop, and your blt/bit extender into the Hex End ratchet.
Well done, 711L!

Its something I like and its EDC-able
Okay, if you are reading this you either understand the price or you are here trying to figure out the price. Look, I am not going to justify why a boutique tool manufacturer can charge $75.00 dollars for a pocket screwdriver. We all know the hardware stores have a similar-ish thing for way less and so many other options. Personally I could live without this but I have 3 of these, the red top, blue top and the aluminum shaft version in black with the red top. I carry one of these with me all the time and I use it a lot too. This one however sits in the plastic tube it came in, with the aluminum screw-on lid. I dont open it and I keep it on my dresser. I look at it and admire it. I dont try to justify what it is and I dont tell my wife how much it is.

Perfect center tool for EDC work pouch. Add attachments for any occasion.
This little tool is the center of my EDC work kit. 711L products are well thought out and pristine in manufacturing. I pare it with a ratcheting unit, a combo extension and hex bit/1/4" socket extension. Add a couple of torx units and this package can go from assembling a bed to field gunsmithing. PS.
For those that have critiqued issues with grit in the tool, If you leave your tool dirty and kick them around in the sand any tool will become compromised. I have had both the aluminum and stainless steel bodied units. At no time has there been an issue with sand or grit in the slide.
"Fix-It-Sticks" makes a "T" handle for their Torx wrenches. I replaced it with these more usefull and compact.

Genius
This has quickly become my favorite bit driver. With the lollipop "head" in my palm, I can twist the shaft quickly with my thumb and forefinger - it's almost like having a zero-backdrag ratchet. Then pop the top off to get the extra torque to tighten things down at the end. Genius! The magnet holding the bits is very strong, so I don't miss not having a locking bit holder. The tolerances are good so there is minimal wobble even with longer bits.
